Impact Investing

Impact Investing simply means investing for impact.   Broadly, it encompasses everything we do and what we are about.

Indeed, the term “impact investing” has been used by many to refer to ideas from social responsible or ethical investing (SRI) to philanthropic investing or venture.

At Imtrove, when talking about “impact investing”, we are referring to our specific study and focus on SRI, particularly highlighting thought-leadership and latest development, strategy and tools for the sector.

The areas of philanthropy and ventures are separately considered as unique areas given the different dynamics and goals of all these different though often overlapping areas, in “Philanthropy and Giving” and “Venture Investing“.

While impact investing has been around for some time, it has for the most part been at the margin, and a key reason is a common belief, mistaken in our view, that impact investing does not deliver returns.

To Imtrove, impact investing and the bottom-line are not at all mutually exclusive.   Hence, we are active in seeking the “win-win”, which we wish to share with our community and clients on the effective and rewarding approaches we see and identify in our focus studies within the space of SRI that incorporates environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) factors in investing.

We are very excited that impact investing is increasingly coming to the fore, with more individuals and organisations both investors and managers who are looking to incorporate impact investing in their portfolio and strategy.

Our mission here is to spread the word and to support the development and implementation of those desires to embrace impact investing.     Help us help you help the world.
